Meet Dr. Anita Desai

Dr. Desai graduated from Juniata College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology in 2008. In 2012 she graduated from Howard University College of Dentistry with the American Academy of Periodontology Outstanding Achievement Award, which is awarded in recognition for outstanding achievement in periodontics. In 2015, Dr. Desai graduated from the University of Pittsburgh College of Dentistry with her Certificate of Periodontics and a Master’s of Dental Science for her research involving keratinized tissue surrounding dental implants.

Dr. Desai has experience in teaching from Juniata College and Howard University, and also served as clinical faculty for pre-doctoral students in the periodontics clinic at the University of Pittsburgh College of Dentistry. She is licensed in the use of Oral and Intravenous Sedation for anxious patients.

Dr. Desai enjoys attending study groups and professional conferences and continuing education courses to keep up-to-date on the latest technology and techniques. She has presented several research topics at the Academy of Osseointegration.
